The driver’s age must be 23 years and over in order to rent a vehicle.
The maximum age of the driver is 75 years.
The driving license of the rented vehicle must have been issued at least one year before. The driver must have a Greek, European, or International (for non-EU countries) driving license and be valid at the time of rental and until its completion.
For all categories, the customer must present a debit/credit card under his name to pay for the car deposit. Third-party cards will not be accepted unless they are present.
Once the customer receives the car, an amount will be charged as guarantee on the driver’s credit/debit card, which will be returned in full at the end of the rental if no other charges occur. The release of the amount can take up to 7 working days depending on the issuing bank of the card. The amount of the deposit varies by car category.

The maximum number of drivers is set at 1 person and is included in the basic rental price.
Additional drivers must present a passport, ID or 2 forms of alternative identification in addition to the driving license.
Minimum / maximum driver’s age restrictions also apply to additional drivers. Charge for each additional driver is 5 Euros per day.
MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD
The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). After the 24 hours the customer will be charged with the cost of every additional hour and up to three (3) hours will be charged with 1/5 of the daily price. After the three (3) hours, an additional one (1) day will be charged.
The cancellation of the reservation must be made at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled date and beginning time of the rental of the vehicle, (always according to the exact reservation time), as it was listed in the company’s reservation system. If you wish to cancel a reservation, you will contact the company by calling the reservation service center.
In case of cancellation the company Diamondmykonostransfers must be notified at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled time and day of the rental, if not, no amount of money that may have been prepaid will be refunded.
In case of any cancellation or modification on your reservation made by a credit or debit card, Diamondmykonostransfers is not liable for any currency losses as a result of currency rate exchange for the period between the reservation and modification/cancellation.
*The down payment (deposit) will not be refunded if the customer does not bring the necessary documents as stated in the rental terms & conditions and the frequently asked questions.
EXTENSION OF THE LEASE
If the customer wishes to extend the lease of the car, he is obliged to contact our company at least twenty-four (24) hours before the end of the lease to obtain the appropriate written approval. If the customer fails to do so he is subject to civil and criminal liability for illegal use and possession of the car. In case of extension of the lease, the driver is bound by the terms and agreements of both the original contract and the lease extension agreement, whether it is the same car or another that was given as a replacement.
The company reserves the right depending on availability to provide a different type of car from that of the initial booking from the same, or larger category.
Diamondmykonostransfers’ cars are covered by roadside assistance 24/7. The contact details of the roadside assistance are stated in the lease agreement. The minimum and maximum time of service varies between 1to 3 days depending on the time of announcement of the problem, the district and the distance from the nearest service station and the workload of the roadside assistance.
It is clearly stated that in case of transport / towing of the vehicle for any reason, the customer is obliged to contact our company immediately.
The customer agrees that he/she received the car, in excellent working order and condition and suitable for the use and purpose for which he rents it. The customer is obliged to return to Diamondmykonostransfers the car and all the forms, tools, and accessories that accompany it, in the condition in which it was received, full of fuel or at the same level as it was received at the place and time that is been stated on the lease. Otherwise, after the expiration of the agreed returning period, the customer will be obliged to pay the normal charge for usage compensation as well as compensation for any damage. Diamondmykonostransfers reserves the right to reposes the car any time without any prior notice or consent of the customer charging him the expenses, from anywhere and with any means. In case there is a danger of damage or lose of the vehicle as well as the danger of non-receiving the usage compensation and any other due compensation.
Diamondmykonostransfers reserves the right, except the above case, to regain possession and use of the car if and when it was used or is in use in violation of the terms of this agreement or the predetermined lease term.
Pick-up is offered at different destinations with a special charge and in request of the customer.
Diamondmykonostransfers is not responsible or liable for the following and the customer is obliged to pay:
- Loss or theft of personal belongings from the rented car.
- Excessive dirt on the outside or inside of the car.
- Wrong fuel supply (wrong fuel type).
- Shipping costs that may occur due to damage or accident caused by the customer.
Any damage to the tires, wheels, or under the car is not covered by any insurance and is entirely the responsibility of the customer.
Diamondmykonostransfers is not responsible for anyone who drives, under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causes intentional damage, drives off-road, drives carelessly, and causes damage due to negligence and violation of the Driving Code.
Any undeclared accident or damage to the vehicle can be interpreted as negligence. (For example, refueling the car with the wrong type of fuel) this results in the customer being charged.
The customer will accept direct responsibility for these claims.
Your vehicle will remain available for up to two hours after the agreed pick-up time, the customer should contact us if he is going to pick it up after this time.
In case the customer does not pick up the car on the agreed day and time without notice, Diamondmykonostransfers will cancel the reservation after 2 hours.
OUT OF WORKING HOURS SERVICE (DELIVERY – PICKUP):
Out of working hours service is available with an additional charge of € 25.00
The customer must return the car with the same amount of fuel he received it. In case of return of the car with a smaller amount of fuel than the original (the amount of fuel that the customer received the vehicle with) the customer is charged with the difference in fuel (price / lt). No compensation is provided to the customer if the car is returned with more fuel than it was received with.
Service fee 15 €, in addition to the cost of fuel if the fuel tank is not full when the vehicle is returned by the customer.
All fines and administrative penalties due to the fault of the driver are fully charged to the customer.
The customer is responsible for the cost of any fines during the rental of the vehicle which are caused by him. The company will pass on the relevant charge to the customer by adding any management costs.
REMOVAL OF REGISTRATION PLATES
In case the license plates are confiscated by the authorities from the vehicle due to illegal parking or any action against the Traffic Code, the customer is obliged to pay the days during which the vehicle will remain out of use.
CAR TRANSPORT ABROAD
Transportation and driving the car outside the borders of the Greek Territory are prohibited.
TRANSPORTATION BY SHIP
Is allowed after agreement with Diamondmykonostransfers. No insurance will cover any damage that will be caused to the rental car during its transport.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM (GPS)
The charge for the GPS navigation system is set at 5 € / day, at the request of the customer, and the availability of the company, with a maximum charge of 50 € / rent.
The charge for snow chains is set to 15 € / day upon request of the customer and availability of the company, with a maximum charge of 80 € / rent.
CHILD OR BABY SEAT
The charge for a child or baby seat is set to 5 € / day at the request of the customer and the availability of the company, with a maximum charge of 50 € / rent.
Complaints are accepted only in writing and must be recorded by the customer service department of Diamondmykonostransfers and received within 30 days of the initial date of rental. Complaints received after this period will not be considered.
Your reservation includes all taxes as well as delivery charges.
The customer is obliged to take care of the car, to keep it in good condition, to check its mechanical condition, the oil and water level, the tires, and in general comply to the road safety rules. Any repair of the car by the customer or another third party is prohibited without the prior approval of the rental company. The car is forbidden to be used:
To transfer people or things in return for money.
To tow or tow cars or other objects.
To participate in or follow any speed races,
For subletting to third parties,
For purposes contrary to Greek Laws,
To carry or move heavy luggage, flammable materials, dirty or smelly objects, drugs, etc.
For the illegal transportation of nationals or foreigners or the commission of illegal acts.
a) Our company provides to the customer and any additional driver, insurance coverage for death or bodily injuries of third persons whether are passengers of the car or not(excluding the driver of the car) up to the amount of 1,000,000 euros in total, for material damages to third parties excluding the company’s car up to a total amount of 1,000,000 euros, provided that they have not violated any conditions of this contract. b) The company provides insurance coverage to third parties only to persons authorized to use the vehicle by the company , with an insurance contract which’s terms are available to the customer upon request. c) the customer and the additional drivers of the car are not covered by the insurance contract as this is defined in the official price list of the company, unless the customer accepts a “Driver’s Insurance” at the beginning of the lease, marking the corresponding box with the indication “I accept” on the front side of this contract, accepting the coverage of the personal accident insurance policy of the company as mentioned in the official price list, paying the corresponding daily fee. d) Luggage is not covered and the customer is responsible for any loss or damage to items that are his property or not. The company in not responsible for any loss, damage, etc. during the lease or after the return of the car to the company.
Our vehicles can be transported by ship to any place within the Greek borders after consultation with our company. However, the insurance provided does not cover the transport of the vehicle by ship. Additional insurance (Ferry insurance), which covers transportation by ship, is available for purchase locally at an additional cost.
THEFT INSURANCE, DAMAGES, ETC
The customer has the obligation to compensate Diamondmykonostransfers and every third party in case of theft, loss, or damage of the car or damages to third parties(including its passengers) as well as to pay any damage that the company will suffer. In particular:
a) the customer is responsible for all the damage he has caused to the car or third parties if he has violated the terms & conditions of use, drove the car illegally or contrary to what is provided by the Traffic Code.
b) the customer is liable for the partial or total theft or loss of the car unless the company has absolved the customer from liability for total theft or loss of the car. This exemption is valid if the customer has already accepted at the beginning of the lease the daily charge and the conditions for the “Theft Coverage” of the car as these terms are interpreted in the official list of the company, marking the corresponding box with the indication “I accept” on the front of this agreement and if the customer had taken all precautions to prevent total theft or loss of the car and used it following the terms of this agreement. It is expressly agreed that the theft or loss of parts or equipment (partial theft) of the car is not covered by the above acceptance of “Theft Coverage”.
(c) the customer is liable for any damage to the car as a result of a collision or fire unless the customer has accepted the term “discharge of liability” by marking the appropriate box “I accept” on the front of this agreement and paying the corresponding daily fee charged. The above acceptance “Discharge of liability”, does not discharge the customer if the car was not used following the terms & conditions of this agreement(Article 7). Even if the customer has accepted a “Discharge of liability” there is a minimum charge for reimbursement of the cost of the damage, as determined by the official price list of the company or listed on the front of the contract, unless the customer has accepted the “Full Exemption of Liability “by marking the corresponding box marked” I accept “and paying the corresponding daily charge. It is expressly agreed that
a) The above acceptance of “Discharge of liability”or “Full Discharge of liability”, does not in any case cover damages caused:
1. In the lower part of the car
2. In the tires and wheels of the Car.
3. All glass parts.
4. The interior of the car.
5. During the loading, unloading, or transport of the car on ships or trains or other means of transport without the prior written consent of the company.
ADDITIONAL INSURANCE COVERAGE
Additional insurance coverages such as Ferry insurance are available for purchase by the customer.
In case of an accident or another incident (Fire, theft, etc.) the customer or the additional driver is immediately obliged to the following:
a. Not to acknowledge the responsibility or guilt of third parties in any way, directly or indirectly.
b. Write down the names and addresses of eyewitnesses as well as the name and address of the driver and the details of the car with which the car may have collided.
c) To notify the Police to determine the fault of a third party and to treat any injured.
d) to contact the company immediately by phone or by any other means (fax, email, etc.).
e) To collect any relevant information from any third party.
f.) photograph the scene of the accident and the cars involved in the accident if possible. The customer is obliged within twenty-four (24) hours to complete and sign an accident/theft statement at the company’s premises and to send any related to the accident documents or information to the company. In case of theft or loss of the car, the customer is obliged to report the incident in writing to the nearest police authority immediately or within twenty-four (24) hours the latest.
The customer expressly agrees that Diamondmykonostransfers is not liable for any damage suffered by the customer or third party during the lease and no claim may be brought against the company for the above reason.
